“And What Is The Immeasurable Greatness Of His Power Towards Us Who Believe …” (Eph. 1:19-20 CSB).

The greatest things are greatly bought … You may have the pinnacles if you have enough blood to pay. The chiefest values in life and character are not blown across our way by vagrant winds. Great truths are greatly won, not found by chance, nor wafted on the breath of summer dreams; but grasped in the great struggle of the soul, hard buffeting with adverse wind and stream.” So when difficulties beset our path, let us thank God that He is taking (the) trouble with us, and lean hard on Him”[1]

It is often said that generals are not made in the barracks; so is greatness not made on tuft of green grass. Life is one continuous series of challenges, which are actually opportunities for greatness but often missed in our focus on the pain. Our Salvation and the special estate that we are brought into, was purchased and tended with the most precious blood ever. We must discard and throw into the dung hill the attractive but dangerous persuasion and pull of the instant gratification and satisfaction. It is the scourge of our time, and wise people must avoid it as a dangerous plague.

Have a God-Focused and Blessed day, Amen.
