It’s interesting to note that the festival enacted by Emperor Constantine several centuries ago is still being celebrated
in our time. Constantine was the one who made December 25, the day earlier used for a pagan festival, as the day to
celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. So, we are combining our Christmas greeting with the New Year greeting to you.
The Almighty Creator and God of the whole universe, brought “Glad Tidings, Great Joy, and Peace” as His Gift to
mankind at the First Christmas more than two (2) thousand years ago. But this was a very costly Gift, as Jesus Christ,
the object of this pronouncement, took the place of mankind before a holy, just, and righteous God. He suffered, died
on the cross, was buried and was resurrected. Through this process, He provided the perfect and Only accepted
Atonement and Propitiation (Punishment and Appeasement) for the Sin of mankind. Jesus opened a new and positive
chapter in the relationship between God and mankind, and brought the Only Perfect Solution to the problem of
mankind and the universe – SIN. He makes possible a personal relationship with God – a Father – child relationship,
ending the enmity between God and mankind. Jesus reconciles mankind with his Maker, God; brings Peace in the place
of enmity, Restores Paradise lost at Eden, and Gives Unending (Eternal) life of Right Standing (Righteousness and
Holiness) with God. “… and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins. … “…
and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, “God with us.”” This is the Reason for Christmas:
that Jesus Christ was given to reconcile humanity with God, and so establish peace between God and
humanity! Therefore, the essence of Christmas is to come into this peaceful relationship with the
Almighty God!
If you are already reconciled with God through the Jesus of Christmas, then your rejoicing will know no end. But
remember the message of Obedience, Trust (faith), Humility, and Service, which is an integral part of the essence and
message of Christmas. But if the Jesus Christ of Christmas is not yet your personal Lord and Saviour, this is your
opportunity to do so, and become a part of the true celebration of this season. It is not about religion, church attendance
and activities, morality, spiritualism, intellectualism, or any other type of human endeavours, all of which Has Not, and
Cannot Remove Sin. No other religion or teaching claims the sole right to salvation, reconciliation and peace with
God, and a perfect solution to the sin nature of mankind. If the claims of the Bible are true, and you refuse to accept
its instruction for your reconciliation with God, and die the physical death, there will be no other opportunity to makes
things right. Instead, you will be faced with the stark reality of the devastating and irreparable consequences of your
action of unbelief. There is ONLY ONE WAY Back to God; the Way of the Cross of Jesus at Calvary! Jesus Christ
alone provided the Only accepted Atonement and Propitiation (Punishment and Appeasement) for the Sin of mankind.
All that is required is an act of deliberate, and intentional belief (faith) in Jesus Christ as the Son of God,
and for a person to give up the Will and sincerely believe – make an objective and deliberate decision to
accept the Word of God about Sin, and receive Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour. Understanding will
come Only after the act of deliberate and intentional will to believe the Word of God. Seeking to understand before
one believes can only produce a belief in one’s understanding/intellect, which cannot and will reconcile one with
God!
This Christmas and New Year will be Profoundly and Remarkably Different for you, if you take this simple step of
faith, which will grant you the Free Gift of Salvation, Redemption, Reconciliation and Peace with God your Maker, who
also Sustains your life. You will receive the Forgiveness of ALL your sins, and you have a place with Jesus Christ in
Eternity. There is life after this life; there is heaven and there is Hell and Lake of Fire, but there is no neutral ground.
You decide which of these two places will be your place of eternal destiny! The existence of human beings, journey
through life, death and decay, and the celebration of Christmas all over the world, are all incontrovertible proof of the
God of the Bible, and the Bible. All that is written in the Bible, including the Second Coming of Jesus to judge both the
living and the dead, will happen just as written! Tomorrow may be too late! Why disbelief the truth about God and
Jesus Christ which has been proven for the baseless claims of human inventions? So, we implore you in Jesus Name
to be Reconciled with your Maker TODAY!
